D. Michelle Cone
Prior to joining the firm, Michelle worked as a senior annuity specialist with Merrill Lynch in Jacksonville, Florida where she obtained her Series 7 and 66 securities licenses. As a senior annuity specialist, she assisted clients with all aspects of their Merrill Lynch annuities and also assisted Financial Advisors in better understanding the complex features associated with these annuities. In addition, Michelle was responsible for employee training on many various annuity topics including the complex death benefit options, the mechanics of a guaranteed living benefit, and the process of annuitization. This experience in the financial services industry gives Michelle unique insight into some of the financial products that are sometimes incorporated into our clients’ overall estate plans.
Michelle is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, and the Western Kentucky Alumni Association. She is also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Deland.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys running and has run in various events across the state including the Marine Corps Half Marathon, the Jacksonville River Run, and the Five Points of Life Half Marathon. She speaks basic Spanish and is proficient in reading and writing Spanish.
