Matthew G. McKinney
Matt is a registered patent attorney who specializes in intellectual
property and litigation. He believes every client deserves a focused
approach for their specific circumstances. This allows Matt to utilize his
experience and expertise to meet the clients' goals in a prompt, innovative
and cost efficient manner.
Matt has used his engineering and physics background in representing
engineering firms, technology companies, Fortune 500 companies, and
individual inventors in a wide range of intellectual property matters,
including patent applications, patent searches, patent analysis and
infringement opinions. He practices in the fields of electronics, mechanics, communications, computer hardware and software. Additionally, he has represented clients on other intellectual property matters including trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, related licensing and contractual matters, and litigation.
Matt is a member of the American Bar Association, American Intellectual
Property Law Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He is
admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S.
District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the Southern District of
Florida, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Florida state
courts.
