Working hand-in-hand with Cobalt Capital, Inc. to raise equity, Epoch Properties recently engaged Bill Lowman and the ShuffieldLowman team to provide the corporate, securities and tax aspects of helping to raise $14.5 million in capital for the funding of this project.

Vance Realty Group

Vance Realty Group of Orlando, a powerhouse in central Florida real-estate brokerage, was purchased by Plantation-based Prudential Florida WCI Realty. ShuffieldLowman client, Barbara Vance, founded the local brokerage in 1996. Last year, the company posted $214.3 million in sales. Past deals have included the $31 million sale of land in Polk County to ABD Development Co., which is now developing the Providence community there.

The firm represented Vance throughout the transaction, providing counsel to her and her husband, Arnold Matyas, a commercial real estate broker.

Vance will work with Prudential Florida WCI Realty as a sales consultant. Matyas will head the brokerage's commercial division.
